- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Chopped parsley and chili flakes (for serving)
Instructions
1. Roast the Garlic
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Toss garlic cloves with olive oil and a pinch of salt.
- Place them in a small oven‑safe dish with a lid or cover tightly with foil.
- Roast ~20 minutes until soft and golden.
- Mash with a fork and set aside.
2. Make the Garlic Butter Custard
- In a bowl, combine mashed roasted garlic, melted butter, egg, milk, salt, paprika, and parsley.
- Whisk thoroughly until fully blended.
3. Prepare the Bread Sheets
- Lower oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the full sheet of rolls into two halves (horizontally).
- Place them cut‑side up on a baking sheet and bake 8–10 minutes until lightly golden and slightly crisp.
4. Dip & Bake
- Pour the garlic butter custard into a shallow pan.
- Gently dip each half‑sheet of bread into the custard, coating well on all sides.
