Nothing says “I love you” like a homemade heart-shaped pizza with gooey stuffed crust and heart-shaped pepperoni. Perfect for Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, or romantic nights in, this pizza is as fun to make as it is to eat.

Why You’ll Love This

This heart-shaped pizza combines the charm of a romantic meal with the comfort of homemade pizza. The cheesy stuffed crust is indulgent, the pepperoni hearts are adorable, and the recipe is simple enough for a fun cooking date night or festive family meal. Customize it with your favorite toppings and make memories while baking love into every bite.

Ingredients

  • Pizza dough for 1 pizza
  • ¼ to ½ cup kitchen-ready tomatoes
  • 8 oz low-moisture mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 15 to 20 pepperoni
  • 7 to 9 sticks of string cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Cornmeal for the crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Heat to 425°F. Place a pizza stone in the oven if using; otherwise, prepare a sheet pan.
  2. Prepare Ingredients: Mix salt, oregano, and basil. Shred cheese. Cut pepperoni into hearts using a cutter, knife, or scissors.
  3. Roll Dough: Shape dough into a large circle, not too thin.
  4. Stuff the Crust: Arrange string cheese in a heart shape on the dough. Cut and fold dough over cheese to enclose it, sealing tightly.
  5. Add Toppings: Brush crust with olive oil. Spread tomatoes over the center, sprinkle seasoning, then add cheese and pepperoni hearts.
  6. Bake: Bake 13–15 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Let rest for 2–3 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Use this recipe as a guide—dough size can vary.
  • Extra large dough may result in more crust folding—adjust based on your dough.
  • A pizza stone gives best results, but a baking sheet works well too.
